Our decals will not harm the surface of your vehicle. We use the same materials the original manufacturers do from quality vendors such as 3M and Avery Dennison.
It is recommended to wait at least 30 days from when the vehicle has been painted for the paint to properly cure and all solvents to evaporate. After this period your graphics should go on perfectly.
Generally graphics will last 3 - 5 years with no problem. Depending on the grade of materials you have chosen for your application you can see a much longer life span. Discuss your needs and the environment your graphics will be working in with a Cowan representative for full information and warranty options.
You should wait a few days before washing your car. this will give the decals opportunity to bond properly and most if not all bubbles to disappear. If your vehicle has received a full decal wrap special precaution should be taken at vehicle edges and along the bottom of the vehicle which is susceptible to roadspray and grime. Full coverage window graphics also require special attention.
Most graphics can be installed yourself. We offer complete guides and tools to do so. For more elaborate applications such as half and full wraps it is best to have Cowan install the graphics for you.
It is recommended that the ambient temperature be at least +10 degrees Celcius and that the vehicle be in that temperature range for at least 8 hours.
Keeping your graphics looking like new is straightforward. Wash them at the same time you wash the rest of the car but be sure to avoid using any harch detergents or too much pressure washing. It is safe to wax over the decals. Window graphics require windows to not be rolled down and do not use an ice scraper on them in winter!
Most small bubbles will disappear by themselves over time. Larger bubbles can be popped with a pin and carefully smoothing out the air.
Vinyl graphics are not difficult to remove. Simply warm them with a heat gun (or hair dryer for small jobs) and lift the corner of the decal. Try to remove the decal in as few pieces as you can. Use an appropriate adhesive remover that is safe for paint to remove any residue.
